Softball: Dayton advances to UCT quarterfinals after pounding New Providence

Ashley Weber finished 3-for-4 with a home run, double and four RBI as fourth-seeded Dayton defeated New Providence, 18-2, in the first round of the Union County Tournament at home on Saturday.

Lila Carroll went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, four runs score and four RBI while Jenna Campos went 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBI. Kate Buckley also homered for Dayton, which hit three home runs and five doubles as a team.

The Bulldogs will host fifth-seeded Elizabeth in the quarterfinals on Monday, May 15.
